- 1 cup milk
- 1 vanilla pod, split
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1.25 ml ground nutmeg
- 2 cups vanilla custard
- 60 ml dark rum
How to make the Eggnog
- Place 1 cup (250 ml) milk, 1 split vanilla pod, 2 cinnamon sticks and ¼ tsp (1.25 ml) ground nutmeg in a saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Whisk in 2 cups (500 ml) vanilla custard and ¼ cup (60 ml) dark rum.
- Serve warm.
